تحليل منهجية التفسير والتأويل في أعمال مفتی تقی عثمانی
Abstract
This study critically examines the methodology of interpretation (tafsir) and exegesis employed by Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, one of the most influential contemporary Islamic scholars. Through a comprehensive analysis of his written works, lectures, and fatwas, the research explores the foundational principles, hermeneutic tools, and jurisprudential frameworks that underpin his interpretative approach. The study highlights Mufti Usmani's balance between classical tafsir traditions and contextual relevance, his reliance on authentic sources, and his emphasis on maqāsid al-sharī‘ah (objectives of Islamic law) in exegesis. It also sheds light on his method of integrating rational analysis with transmitted knowledge, his attention to linguistic precision, and his approach to modern challenges in light of scriptural texts. The paper concludes that Mufti Taqi Usmani’s methodology represents a unique synthesis of traditional scholarship and contemporary understanding, offering a model for meaningful Islamic interpretation in the modern age.
