This study aims to explore and critically analyze the Sufi thought of Syed Jalaluddin Bukhari, commonly known as Makhdum Jahaniyan Jahangasht, a prominent 14th-century Sufi saint of the Suhrawardi order in South Asia. Renowned for his spiritual insight, missionary travels, and contribution to Islamic scholarship, Makhdum Jahaniyan’s teachings played a significant role in shaping the moral and spiritual landscape of the Indian subcontinent. This research delves into the core elements of his Sufi ideology, including divine love (ishq-e-ilahi), self-purification (tazkiyah), trust in God (tawakkul), remembrance of Allah (dhikr), and social reform through spiritual awakening.
