There is no doubt that morality holds a high position in Islam; indeed, the entire religion is based on noble morals, reaching a lofty pinnacle that revived and illuminated the earth after it had been shrouded in the deadly darkness of misguidance and temptation, and after its people had strayed from the right path. It rebuilt the earth after its people had destroyed it by indulging their desires, heedless of enmity, murder, plunder, and all manner of depravity and oppression, until they reached the lowest depths. There is no doubt that morality holds a high position in Islam. So God Almighty sent His noble Messenger to eradicate misguidance, remove the filth of tyranny and desires, polish the rust from the minds of all human society, and guide them to beautiful destinies, noble values, and virtuous Islamic morals. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, defined the purpose of his noble message and almost confined it to the virtues of good character. The Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I was sent only to perfect good character.” Since the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, are the two wellsprings of Islamic morals, from which springs forth what brings success in this world and the hereafter to whoever follows them in the affairs of life, and is disciplined by their manners and adopts their morals, as for enumerating these morals that the religion of Islam desires its followers to possess and adhere to in their lives, this space does not permit it. Because no verse or hadith is devoid of moral benefit, but our intention is to guide the Muslim to the pure sea of moral virtues and noble qualities in Islam so that he may draw from it, analyze it, and apply it in all aspects of life.
