Abstract

In the light of the Quran and Sunnah, it is clear that the eye is a means of vision as well as a means of feelings and thoughts. The Quran sometimes describes this gesture as a manifestation of fear and faith, sometimes as a manifestation of sadness and regret, and sometimes as a manifestation of arrogance and contempt. Similarly, in the blessed hadiths, the gestures of the eye and face are an eloquent and perfect means of communication for training, love and reformation of the ummah.
