The Psychological Impacts of Digital Addiction in Light of Islamic Teachings
ڈیجیٹل ایڈکیشن کےنفسیاتی اثرات اور اسلامی تعلیمات
Abstract
We live in a digital world, where screens are always with us. No doubt, technology has brought comfort in our lives, but phones in our hands and notifications in our minds have made a mess. What once felt like a blessing is now quietly becoming a burden. Many of us, especially the younger generation, are stuck in endless scrolling, games, and social media, often without knowing why. It starts as fun but slowly becomes a habit that’s hard to leave. This is called digital addiction. It affects our education, sleep pattern, family time, and even our prayers. We feel busy online but empty inside. Islam teaches us to live with balance, peace, and purpose. It reminds us to use our time wisely and stay connected to real life and real people. This article talks about how digital tools—like smartphones, social media, games, and apps—are changing our minds and hearts. It also shows how Islamic teachings can help us find peace again. By following the right path, we can protect our mental health, build stronger relationships, and live a life that brings us closer to Allah.
