Time is among the most precious and finite blessings in human life, without the effective use of which personal, social, and spiritual development remains unattainable. This research, titled "The Concept of Time Management in Islam," explores the significance, structure, and preservation of time through the lens of the Qur'an, Hadith, the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the guidance of the Rightly Guided Caliphs, and the wisdom of renowned Islamic scholars. The paper emphasizes that Islam views time not merely as a means to worldly success, but as a vital pathway to eternal salvation. The Prophet’s ﷺ noble life stands as the supreme model of strategic time division and the punctual execution of every responsibility. Furthermore, the study draws a comparative analysis between Islamic principles of time management and modern productivity systems such as GTD, the Eisenhower Matrix, and the Pomodoro Technique—demonstrating that Islamic teachings are not only compatible with these models but offer a more holistic and purpose-driven framework. The core objective of this research is to highlight the sacred value of time from an Islamic perspective and to inspire individuals to embrace discipline and intentional living in their daily routines.
