This research explores the complex ethical and legal dimensions of organ donation and transplantation within the framework of Islamic jurisprudence. The study delves into the debates between the outright prohibition (عدم جواز) and the conditional permissibility (مشروط جواز) of donating and transplanting human organs. Various classical and contemporary Islamic scholars’ viewpoints are analyzed to understand the diverse interpretations of Shariah regarding bodily integrity, necessity, and saving lives. The paper outlines the specific conditions under which organ donation may be deemed permissible, such as consent, the absence of commercial motives, and the necessity of saving a life. The research aims to provide a balanced perspective by presenting both the reservations and allowances found in Islamic teachings, offering guidance for Muslims navigating modern medical challenges.
