Open Access Policy

All research articles published in AL-ASR International Research Journal of Islamic Studies are fully open access and immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons license which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium provided the original work is properly cited.

The author(s) and the copyright holder(s) grant(s) to all users a free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access and a license to copy, use, distribute, transmit and display the complete version of the work and all supplemental materials, including a copy of the permission as stated above, in a suitable standard electronic format is deposited immediately upon initial publication, at least one online repository that is supported by an academic institution, scholarly society, government agency, or other well-established organization that seeks to enable open access, unrestricted distribution, interoperability, and long-term archiving.

Open access is a property of individual works, not necessarily journals or publishers.

Community standards, rather than copyright law, will continue to provide the mechanism for enforcement of proper attribution and responsible use of the published work, as they do now.

Open articles are published under Creative Commons licenses. Authors publishing in Al-ASR can use the following Creative.

  • Articles would be reviewed by two approved reviewers (National and International) and the rules and regulations of HEC would be followed in this regard.
  • Articles must be original and unpublished.
  • The research paper sent for publication must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Articles must be related to Islamic studies and Arabic literature to be published in Al-Asr International Research Journal.
  • The decision of the Editorial Board would be final regarding the publication of an article.
  • Al-Asr reserves the right to do necessary editing, addition, and deletion.
  • Received articles would be considered the right of Al-Asr therefore, articles would not be returned either published or not published.

Research Domains

Al-Asr Research Journal is an International Journal for Islamic Studies in three languages: Arabic, Urdu, and English. It is an Open Access Biannually Peer Reviewed Print and Online Journal that has become a well-reputed Academic Journal with an International Advisory Board representing the fields of  Islamic research. This journal is launched to promote the study of basic fields of Islamic Studies i.e. Qur’an, Sunnah, Sirah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Islamic Jurisprudence etc.

Review Policy

To ensure excellence, the publication of an article in the Al-Asr International Research Journal is subjected to a complete, thorough, comprehensive, and confidential review. The review is made by independent and competent known scholars who give their recommendations on the article being presented for publication.

Selection of Reviewers

A careful selection of national and international reviewers is made keeping in view their area of research. To get an unbiased review, the names of reviewers are kept confidential. All works submitted for publication are reviewed objectively without regard to authors, race, gender, religious view, ethnicity, citizenship, political tendency, age, and reputation.

Ethical policy

Approval of an article to be published in Al-Asr will be subjected to the following conditions: The article must not contribute to hate literature, extremism, sectarianism, and anti-state views. The author agreed with the content of the article and its submission to the journal. The article partially or completely has not been published before, in any language. An article submitted to Al-Asr for publication must not be submitted to another journal during the review process. If a draft submitted to Al-Asr includes figures, tables, or long text blocks that have been published before, the author is responsible for obtaining permission from the copyright owners. All copyrighted elements should be specified appropriately in the draft submitted to Al-Asr.

Letter of Acceptance

A letter of acceptance can be issued by the editor on request to the author after positive review reports from all the reviewers.

Privacy Policy

The information and opinions given by the reviewers during the review process are all kept confidential and are never used for the advantage of someone. The submission of an article as a special presentation is kept confidential completely. Before the publication of an article, the reviewers and editor cannot utilize the data, ideas, or subjects without the permission of the author.
