Prophetic Teachings for Rights of Minorities: A Historical Perspective

This paper explores the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) regarding the rights of minorities within Islamic societies. Drawing from primary sources such as the Quran and Hadith, as well as scholarly interpretations, it examines the principles of justice, equality, and compassion that underpin the Prophet's guidance. Through a historical and contemporary lens, this study evaluates the application and relevance of these teachings in fostering inclusive societies where the rights and dignity of minorities are respected. In a world where the rights of minorities are often overlooked and disregarded, it is crucial to acknowledge the importance of prophetic teachings that advocate. The Prophetic model of governance provides a blueprint for promoting and protecting the rights of minorities. It emphasizes the importance of appointing qualified individuals in positions of power, ensuring fair treatment and decent payment for government employees, and upholding a code of ethics that guides the behavior and decision-making processes of those in authority. Furthermore, the principles of justice, equality, and respect for diversity should be instilled in every aspect of society.
